Our range of bamboo steamer trays comes in various sizes and features interlocking trays with perforated bases for stacking. Use Instruction
1. Before using your bamboo steamer baskets, line the bottom of each tray with lettuce or cabbage leaves to prevent food from sticking. Spread the food you want to cook evenly in a single layer in each basket. Use as many baskets as necessary, stacking them on top of each other, and ensure the top basket is covered with a lid.
2. Before preparing your cooking pot, ensure that your steamer basket fits securely in or over the pot without the risk of tipping. Fill the pot with two inches of water, making sure the bottom layer of food stays above the waterline and does not get submerged. A traditional wok or a shallow skillet works well for this process. Bring the water to a simmer.
3. Once the water is simmering, place your bamboo steamer basket over the pot. Monitor the water level and add more if it starts to run dry. Check your food periodically until it is cooked to your preference.
